Halifax Regional Coin Club

The Halifax Regional Coin Club always welcomes guests to our meetings. We also welcome non-members to take advantage of the following services:

1. Appraisal Services: free general appraisal services can be made by sending photos to halifaxcoinclub1958@gmail.com
   
   
2. Archive Viewing: the HRCC keeps internal records and is the custodian of other numismatic records from the region. Public viewings can be scheduled.
   
   We also maintain an extensive library of numismatic books and reference materials for public viewing.
   
   
3. HRCC Permanent Collection: occasionally the HRCC will publicly display pieces from its permanent collection of club medals. HRCC members also regularly display pieces from their personal collections.
   
   
4. Auction Services: non-members can have their items entered into HRCC auctions by filling out a registration form and paying a $5 registration fee.
   
   
5. Charity Support: each year the HRCC raises funds for two local charities, the Dartmouth Seniors Service Centre and Hope Cottage. The primary way we generate donations is through our Charity Auction in November.
   
   Both of these organizations do tremendous work throughout the year to support our community. If you would like to donate an item for the HRCC Charity Auction (any time of the year), please email us. If you would like to financially support either of these great organizations, donations can be made through the HRCC or directly by clicking the links above.
   
   
6. Public Events: each year the HRCC offers a variety of special events, so keep an eye on our website for details. On the 2026 calendar is the New Member Night, ‘Start Coin Collecting’ at the Alderney Gate Library, the Annual Fall Coin Show, and the Annual Charity Auction. See the ‘Events’ page for details.
